A County Fair takes many people and organizations to make it a unique experience for the whole family. One of the main goals is to present the young people of the County the opportunity to learn leadership, responsibility and become the leaders of the future. To do this it takes FFA Chapters, vo-ag teachers; 4H Advisors; Scout Leaders; Jr Fair & Senior Fair Dept. Superintendents; dozens of volunteers, both adult and youth. Several Community Service Organizations such as the Lions Club who direct the vehicle parking or the Hillsboro Rotary Club who has operated the Fair gate for many years. There are also all those people who support the Fair by renting commercial space, and display booths and many of these same people support the Jr. Fair Livestock sales which directly benefit the young people that raise and show their livestock projects at the fair. The Highland County Fair has been supported by many local agencies, such as the Highland County Commissioners, Highland County Highway Department, and Highland County Sheriffs Dept., City of Hillsboro, Liberty township trustees and many more. It is difficult to recognize all of the many people and organizations that make the County Fair a success each year and we say “THANK YOU” to each and all!
